Defenzo PowerTap is an adapter that provides access to a 230 V Schuko socket from a charging station equipped with a Type 2 socket. It allows you to connect chargers for electric bicycles, scooters, and other devices and vehicles using a standard Type F Schuko plug.
More possibilities from your charging station
PowerTap extends the functionality of AC charging stations equipped with a Type 2 socket. One end of the adapter connects to the charging station, while the other provides a standard 230 V Schuko socket. This allows the station to power devices that cannot be connected directly via a Type 2 connector.
Up to 3.6 kW of power
The adapter operates at 230 V AC and supports a continuous current of up to 16 A, corresponding to a maximum power output of 3.6 kW. This allows the charging station to be used, among other applications, for charging electric bicycles, scooters, and other compatible devices equipped with a Schuko plug.
Communication with the charging station
PowerTap signals the "vehicle connected" and "vehicle ready for charging" states to the charging station, allowing the station to activate the power supply and deliver energy to the Schuko socket. The charging session must be started according to the operating method of the respective station, for example using an RFID card, app, payment card, or available switch.
3 m cable
The 3 m cable provides flexibility when connecting devices located near the charging station. The Type 2 connector is located on the station side, while the Type F Schuko socket allows a device requiring a 230 V power supply to be connected.
Durable design
The adapter housing is made of thermoplastic material, while the IP44 protection rating provides protection against splashing water. PowerTap can operate at temperatures from -20°C to +50°C. The adapter is not waterproof and should not be used in heavy rain or exposed to direct water jets.
Easy connection
Simply connect PowerTap to the charging station's Type 2 socket, connect the device to the Schuko socket, and then activate the station according to its operating procedure. When finished, first stop the power supply, then disconnect the device, and finally disconnect the adapter from the station.
Power more devices from your charging station
Defenzo PowerTap allows a Type 2 charging station to also be used as a power source for devices with a standard Schuko plug. Power output of up to 3.6 kW, a maximum continuous current of 16 A, and a 3 m cable provide a practical solution for electric bicycles, scooters, and other compatible devices.
